Title: Chinese Theatre - Synthphony REMIXed! Vol. 5
Rated: StarStarStarStarStar
Label: Synthphony Records

When I am going to listen to a remix album I use to be slightly uncertain. I am the kind of guy that normally wants to hear the original artist.

Because Krister Petersson in Chinese Theatre that is selected to make this remix album is a friend of mine, I had no worries. Chinese Theatre is getting quite famous in the world of remixing and has contributed on several albums before.

The mixture of artists on the record is great even though I didn't recognise some of the artists by name. But that didn't matter, because when I pressed played on my CD-player things happened at least to my ears, because I really love the sound that hits them, its 80, and it's popish.

You can tell by the sound that Krister really love the 80's because every track on the album got a touch of the sound and could easily been made in the early 80's. No sad songs or depressing lyrics, it is just happy.

To mix old artists like The Twins with new fresh artists like Colony 5 and Hype on the same album sounds weird, but because the sound of the album is the same all over it feels natural and you almost forget that "Colony 5 – Heta Nätter" is a modern song. Songs that burns into your brain is "Colony 5 - Heta Nätter (Moonlight Remix)" and "The Twins - Love System (Retro Clash Remix)"

If you like the 80's, you are going to love this album!
