Chinese Theatre was formed in the year 2002 when Krister on his own started remixing bands. But the feel to write something own was still there. Therefore he asked a couple of friends to write the lyrics and record the lyrics to his music. Voices & Machines was born.
The record is sound very much like 80's synthpop. It starts of nice and slow to pass into something a bit harder and faster. The music is very nice made, good recordings and great sound over the whole album. Although, sometimes I get the feeling that the vocals don't really fit into the rest of the song, some singer's in fact sound really bad for my taste. But don't be afraid! There are still a lot of great songs on the album, such as track number four. "With a broken View" together with Basswood Dollies. Wonderful!
