From the musical point of view, there is something special about
"Victory of Love" that apears in no other Alphaville-song and hardly
anywhere else.
The rhythm-feeling is changing drastically from triplets to straight
16ths when the song goes in to the chorus.
This caused a lot of arrangement problems during the original
recording-sessions as well as during rehearsals for live-shows.
The only thing I can say about the meaning of the song: itīs not a usual lovesong, but itīs for sure not a song about the german reunion. As far as I know. Nobody expected something like that in 1984.
